Fall 2014 Due South Brewing Update

As the summer comes to an end, things are heating up at Due South.

Curiosity Series

We released the first beer in our new Curiosity Series, Maple Orange Imperial Caramel Cream Ale in cans and on tap mid-August. It has been available in our tasting room and a small amount was also released for distribution in South Florida so look for it at your favorite bars and restaurants. The cans have already sold out in our tasting room, but you can still find it on tap while it lasts. The Curiosity Series offers our brewers the chance to experiment with highly creative recipes and allows our customers to enjoy very unique flavor profiles. Expect to see a new release in the series every couple of months.

Isle of MaGourdo Returns

With autumn comes the pumpkin beer releases. We will be bringing out our Isle of MaGourdo Pumpkin Ale again this year – release date is August 28th. You will be able to find this delicious amber colored, spiced pumpkin ale on tap and, for the first time, in cans. This beer will available for limited distribution in Florida through Brown Distributing.

First Responders Event – Sept 27

Saturday September 27 is First Responders Appreciation Day. We will be celebrating these brave men and women – police, firefighters, search and rescue, and ambulance workers – with a line up of beers created with them in mind. Everyone is invited to enjoy these special releases including the return of Calling All Cars, our chocolate donut & coffee porter. We’ll have food trucks parked at the brewery all day.

Due South Heads a Mile High for GABF

For the second year in a row Due South will be participating in the country’s largest and most prestigious beer festival and competition, the Great American Beer Festival in Denver. This year’s event is October 2nd – 4th in the Mile High State. We have entered 5 beers into the competition: Category 5 IPA, Asylum Harbor Red Ale, Strawberry Honey Wheat, Mexican Standoff and Roggenbier. Additionally those 5 beers will be on tap at all 4 sessions of the festival itself. We will be in the Southeast region at booth V9. Come on by and say hello! If you can’t make it to CO to try these great beers, no worries. We’ll also be tapping a keg of each beer in the brewery’s taproom on Oct 4.

Oktoberfest – Oct 9, 10, 11

Our annual celebration of Oktoberfest is quickly approching. It is a 3 day event in our taproom packed with loads of fun with food trucks, polka music and some great beer releases. Like previous years, expect to see our Oktoberfest Marzen Lager as well as a number of other special release beers.

Thank you for supporting your local brewery and we look forward to having a beer with you soon.
