Due South Event Policy – Updated 4/7/16
Thank you for your interest in using Due South Brewing Co. as the location for your event.
Please note, no matter when you bring your group, during business hours or for a private event, there is always a chance Due South employees will be working on the brewery side (kegging, brewing, cleaning, etc.)
The brewery has chairs for 150 people. Most of the space is not air conditioned. Parties in the “indoor taproom” which is air conditioned, are limited to 22 people.
FOOD – There are food trucks parked at the brewery on Thursday, Friday and Saturday (appx 5-10pm) and Sunday (appx 1-5pm). We encourage your group to utilize the food truck for at least part of your food needs to help us support them and their business. You are welcome to bring food or order to the brewery anytime. Don’t forget all utensils and napkins.
BEVERAGES – You should not bring beverages to the brewery. We sell beer, wine, craft sodas, and water here.
You can run one tab for your group. If you would like to buy your group the first round, you may give them tickets/tokens and we will ring all redeemed tickets onto your tab. Beyond that, your guests can run individual tabs.
DECORATIONS – You may bring decorations for your area. Balloons must be secured to avoid floating up to the ceiling. No glitter/confetti is allowed.
CLEAN UP – Your group is expected to clean up your area when you are finished. Please use trashcans provided to throw away any trash and remove all decorations and food. If you moved tables and chairs, please move them back into place.
DURING REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS
If you have less than 15 people, you can just show up anytime. We don’t charge anything for you to bring a group to the brewery during regular business hours, but we also don’t provide any event services. We ask that you let us know if you are bringing a group over 15 people at least 3 days in advance. Contact us via email to get your group on the schedule. We do limit the number of groups that can come in one night and we may not be able to accommodate your group if the schedule is already full. If you want to bring a group of 40 or more, you need to give us at least a week’s notice and plan for it to be any day early afternoon, or Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Sunday. We won’t book any large groups for Friday or Saturday night because it is already so busy.
WHAT WE PROVIDE & WHAT YOU CAN BRING IF YOU HAVE A GROUP MEET WHEN THE BREWERY IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
Please keep in mind, we are a production brewery and not an event space; we are limited in what we can provide. When we are open to the public and you bring in your group for free, we don’t block off sections or reserve tables for groups, but the brewery space is large so we can likely accommodate your group.
PAID PRIVATE PARTIES
RESERVING OUR “INDOOR” SPACE FOR YOUR PRIVATE PARTY (limited to 22 people)
We do not close the “indoor taproom” space to the public except in very rare cases. We will never close the “indoor taproom” to the public for a private party on Friday night, Saturday, or Sunday.
SPACE RATES – The “indoor taproom” is available Tues 12-10, Wed 12-10, Thurs 12-10, Fri 12-4. The space is $50/hr.(+tax).
DEPOSIT – A 50% deposit is required at least 10 days in advance. We need to know approximately how many guests you expect to attend when you pay your deposit. If you cancel prior to 5 days of the event, you will get 75% of your deposit back. If you cancel with less than 5 days until your event, you will not get any of your deposit back.
RESERVING THE ENTIRE BREWERY FOR A PRIVATE PARTY
We only offer the brewery for closed private events in very rare cases. We will never close to the public for a private party on Friday or Saturday. The minimum rental fee for the space (not including drinks) is $1600 for 4 hours. The rate will change depending on time of day or day of the week.
