Our 3-Day Oktoberfest celebration kicked off yesterday and was a great success. Our Oktoberfest marzen was flowing from the taps all
night and our firkin of Northern Exposure (Caramel Cream Ale with Maple) was gone before the night was over.
We have new beers and fun things planned for Friday and Saturday as well. Carpooling is encouraged as parking at the brewery is limited.
Now the news you are all excited about … today and tomorrow we will be doing our first ever bottle releases right here in the brewery. First today we will release our pumpkin ale, Isle of MaGourdo. We have approximately 276 bottles of this treat and they go on sale at 6:30 pm for $10 (tax included) each. Just come on into the taproom and you can buy up to 2 bottles.
Tomorrow, October 13th, we are releasing the highly anticipated Category 5 IPA bottles. Things will work a little differently for this one. Starting at 2:00 pm we will be giving out wristbands to those that want to buy Cat 5 bottles. One wristband per person and each wristband allows you to purchase up to 2 bottles for $15 each (tax included). At 2:30 pm bottles will go on sale. Those with wristbands can then line up to purchase their bottles.
If you have a wristband you will have one hour to purchase your bottles. Then at 3:30 pm any bottles left over will then be available for purchase to those that did not get wristbands. There will still be a 2 bottle limit.
Bottle sales will take place at a separate location in the taproom away from the bar. Signs will be posted at the table where this will be taking place.
Those of us here at Due South are really excited about this landmark occasion and hope you come out and enjoy this event with us.
